Tech Firm Discounts Database Tool for Nonprofits

Corex Technologies Corp., Cambridge, MA, is offering its CardScan data processing tool to nonprofit organizations at half the usual cost.

The CardScan technology lets organizations convert paper business cards into databases of potential donors. The software sorts and formats information from paper business cards into uniform electronic files that can be printed and saved.

Contact information can be synchronized with Palm, Outlook and other contact managers.

Two versions of the product are available to nonprofits at a discount. The regularly $149 CardScan 500 is $74.50, and the $299 CardScan 600c is discounted to $149.50.
