Target, Amazon Team Up

Amazon.com, Seattle, plans to open a retail channel offering Target's apparel, home, electronics and jewelry products.


The companies also said that Target has chosen Amazon.com's e-commerce technology services such as order fulfillment and customer care services for its online properties, including target.com, MarshallFields.com, Mervyns.com and GiftCatalog.com, beginning in Summer 2002.


Meanwhile, all of these online properties will continue to be owned by Target Corp., Minneapolis.
