System Molds Customer E-Mails Into Marketing Data

Primary Knowledge, New York, yesterday announced its Integration Partners Program, which helps e-commerce firms turn their customer e-mail into marketing data.

CEO Peter Adams said customers, who send in e-mail commentary about a firm's products and/or services, can be targeted because of data organized by the program. Adams said the program uses information selected from customer e-mails to send personalized e-mail messages and place highly targeted Internet ads. He added that the system was also effective in improving online and offline CRM programs.

Information gathered from the program is stored by Primary Knowledge. The data is then analyzed and made available -- in reports and lists -- to the client. Price of the system was not disclosed.
