Symbol Technologies Taps Stein Rogan
Symbol Technologies Inc., an enterprise mobile solutions firm, appointed Stein Rogan + Partners, New York, as agency of record for corporate work.The shop had worked with Holtsville, NY-based Symbol on a project basis. Most recently, the agency created campaigns to promote Symbol's scanner line of business and wireless network switch products.
Stein Rogan is to publicize Symbol's value proposition, shaping it for vertical markets to support branding and customer acquisition. Print and online ads, Internet and traditional direct marketing, promotion and brand design are planned.
A 28-year-old firm, Symbol's products integrate application-specific handheld computers with wireless networks for data, voice and bar code data capture. Clients include retailers, logistics and transportation firms, manufacturers, government agencies and providers of healthcare, security and hospitality.
