Surfing Site Rides Integrated Campaign

Quiksilver, a Huntington, CA, retailer and direct marketer of surfing and active-lifestyle items, begins a two-month marketing campaign June 3.

The effort includes print and online advertising, in-store point-of-purchase displays and marketing at events and activities, such as the Quiksilver/Roxy Summer Surf Camps.

Quiksilver is working with Screenblast, an online service of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, to develop online aspects of the campaign. This includes a co-branded area on Screenblast titled "Surf, Shoot and Share" where users will be able to view "How to Make Your Own Surf Video," a tutorial by surf cinematographer Bobby Williams. Visitors also will be able to preview excerpts from an upcoming surfing video and enter a sweepstakes to win a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P5 digital camera, $1,000 in products and other prizes.
