Supplements marketer picks Hybris, Portaltech platform for e-commerce

Vitamin Research Products, a nutritional supplements marketer, has selected a platform from commerce software vendor Hybris and e-commerce systems integrator Portaltech to bolster its web sales operations.

VRP will implement the QuickLive platform in the beginning of July, Carsten Thoma, president of Hybris US and COO of Hybris Group, told DMNews. It will allow customers to create product wishlists, share information on Facebook and Twitter, and search for health information.

“Our existing dot-net website was not able to respond to the ever-changing needs and the exponential growth of our e-commerce business,” said Brian Rand, director of e-commerce at VRP, in a statement. “We needed to invest in a new platform that would guarantee the performance and scalability that we need today but designed with future growth in mind.”

A VRP representative could not be immediately reached for comment.
