With London-based WPP Group PLC's imminent takeover of Young & Rubicam, New York, another conglomerate was seeking to return to the negotiation table yesterday, according to published reports.

Philippe Krakowsky, Young & Rubicam's vice president of corporate communications, said the agency had no official comment.
