Sterling Commerce, IBM Partner on Retail Systems

Sterling Commerce and IBM have teamed on the Consolidated Order and Inventory Management solution for retailers, the two companies announced yesterday at the Retail Systems Executive conference in Chicago.

The solution unifies retailers' internal and supply chain community processes by combining fragmented financial, inventory and logistics processes into a single, central view across all business units and channels.

The solution combines Sterling Commerce multichannel supply chain applications with IBM middleware, hardware, and IBM Business Consulting Services.

Sterling Commerce is an AT&T Inc. subsidiary.
