Stein Rogan Tapped by iName, Racal
Stein Rogan has already started its print branding campaign for iName, New York, with ads in magazines Internet World, Iconocast, The Industry Standard, Advertising Age, Adweek and others. The branding work also includes online advertising.
The agency is in the course of developing further consumer and trade integrated marketing for the $10 million account, said president Thomas Stein, who added that all further work will include direct elements. Campaigns are slated to begin in early 1999.
Also to begin after the turn of the year, Stein Rogan will kick off two direct mail campaigns for Racal, Herndon, VA, to promote the company's voice recording servers. Though Racal would not disclose billings, Stein said the account's 1999 budget will be double its 1998 level.
Racal makes recording devices used by firms that need audio records of voice communications. Among the company's clients are call centers, financial services companies, law firms, airports, emergency medical services and 911 centers.
Stein will use Racal's internal database for a mail campaign designed to upgrade existing customers to the company's WordNet high-end recording technology. A separate promotion will use direct mail supported by outbound telemarketing to launch Racal's new Mirra recording device. Lists for the Mirra promotion have yet to be determined, but Stein Rogan has recommended various databases that hold names of public safety organizations, telecommunications and call center concerns and high-level executives of financial firms.
