*Stario Debuts Enhanced CRM Tool

Stario Inc. is expected today to announce an enhanced version of its customer relations system that records Web viewer activity.

Named MVC 2.1, the rules-based system records viewers' activity such as transactions, what pages they view, whether or not they refer friends to the site and if they call customer service representatives. Customers are then rated in a firm's database for future marketing purposes.

Stario, Santa Clara, CA, will work with companies to set specific rules according to their needs.

Marketers, according to the firm, often implement existing programs such as sweepstakes, gift certificates and points programs into their rules. A viewer buying gift certificates, for example, could receive a higher rating than somebody who doesn't make such purchases.
