Staples Sales, Income Up for Q3
Staples Inc. said yesterday that company sales totaled $4.25 billion for the third quarter ended Oct. 29, an 11 percent increase from the year-ago period. Same-store sales rose 3 percent for the quarter.The Framingham, MA-based multichannel merchant of office products also said revenue for its North American delivery business rose 18 percent to $1.29 billion in the quarter.
Staples' net income during the period rose 14 percent to $238 million.
