Stamps.com, Juno Gain on Nextcard Index

Stamps.com and Internet service provider Juno were the big e-commerce winners in April, according to NextCard's e-commerce index, which was released yesterday.

The index measures monthly online consumer spending. Rankings are based on the number of transactions by 330,000 NextCard holders.

Stamps.com gained 19 points to appear at No. 15. Juno gained 15 points to reach 25.

The top three Web sites on the list, AOL, Amazon.com and Intuit, remained unchanged from March; although, Priceline Grocery rose 3 points to challenge Intuit's fourth place.

Other big gainers were 1-800-Flowers.com, which rode the spring holiday season for a 10-point gain to finish at No. 17.

Companies that saw their rank decline included Pets.com, which dropped 12 spots, and BarnesandNoble.com, which slipped from No. 3 in January to 11.
