St. Louis County, MN, Using Zix for Secure E-mail

St. Louis County in northern Minnesota tapped e-mail services firm Zix Corp. for the government's e-mail encryption services.

The St. Louis contract signifies more expansion into various levels of government for Zix, Dallas.

St. Louis joins more than 20 state agencies as Zix clients. The firm's roster  includes major federal banking regulators such as the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Conference of State Bank Supervisors and the National Credit Association.

Zix supports five encrypted e-mail delivery mechanisms, including S/MIME, TLS, OpenPGP, secure portal services and push delivery.

The Zix network also includes 5 million e-mail addresses from clients in healthcare organizations, insurers, financial institutions and regulators.
