St. Ives Creates Logistics Service

The U.S. division of commercial printer St. Ives said yesterday that it created a new service, St. Ives Logistics, to provide mail planning and management and a single-point service for clients.

Wayne Angstrom, president/CEO of St. Ives, Miami, said St. Ives Logistics aims to provide customers a cost-efficient distribution plan amid rising postage costs. St. Ives Logistics will use computer models and patented optimizers as well as nationwide mail pools and consolidations, he said.

In addition to logistics, St. Ives provides services including creative, digital photography, pre-press, web- and sheet-fed printing and binding. St. Ives Logistics will serve clients from a variety of industries including publishing and direct marketing, Angstrom said.

St. Ives' U.S. division operates four printing plants, located in Miami; Hollywood, FL; Rochester, NY; and Cleveland. The company operates a fulfillment facility in Cleveland.
