SPSS Updates Data Mining Software

SPSS yesterday released Clementine 6.5, the newest version of its data mining software.

According to SPSS, the new version includes a customer relationship management template that offers pre-built project outlines tailored to specific data mining applications.

In addition, the new version is designed to help users focus on increasing lifetime customer value, reducing customer turnover and predicting promotional response rates. Users of Clementine build a map of data mining projects by selecting icons. Along the way, users can include their business knowledge for better results. Clementine 6.5 also includes templates for analysis of Web site data to improve efficiency and analysis of customer data in the telecommunications industry.

Other new features include sequence algorithms and enhanced Web mining templates.
