SPSS Introduces SmartViewer
Statistical product and solutions provider SPSS, Chicago, announced its new OLAP product called SmartViewer Web Server. The software can be coupled with SPSS Base or NewView products.According to SPSS, model builders using SPSS Base or NewView can access data and create reports containing report cubes, charts and texts, and then post the report on a Web site running SmartViewer. From there, information consumers can point their Web browsers to the Web report where they "view, slice, dice and drill down into report cubes" to answer their own questions.
