SPS Buys Ruf Strategic Solutions
Ruf Strategic Solutions, Olathe, KS, a provider of database marketing and decision-support services, has been bought by SPS Payment Systems in a management buyout. The terms of the buyout were not disclosed. SPS had owned the company since 1995.As a result of the management-led buyout, announced this week, the new ownership team will include brothers Kurtis, Brian, Eric and Jacob. The brothers -- sons of founder Jacob Ruf -- have been with the company since it began 23 years ago. Ruf provides marketing solutions to companies that convert data into information and intelligence.
