Sprockets, Vanteon Join to Launch Online Service

Sprockets.com, Boston, and Vanteon, Rochester, NY, announced the launch of a secure online service called Deadline Management Service, which is intended to help "geographically dispersed" marketing and communication professionals work more effectively together. Both companies are hoping the service will help eliminate the time and expense associated with couriers and overnight delivery services.

The service will allow individuals working on a project to share digital files and information simultaneously, in real time, to facilitate revisions and approvals. It also will provide advanced notification technology to alert project members of missed deadlines via phone, fax or e-mail. Sprockets manages the workflow through its check in/check out and revision control features.

Those wishing to use the Deadline Management Service are required to have only a browser and e-mail. There is no per-user or per-site charge; users need only pay a monthly per project charge of $10.
