Sprint Canada, HP Canada to Offer E-Commerce Solutions

Sprint Canada, Toronto, and Hewlett Packard Canada, Mississauga, Ontario, formed a strategic alliance this month that will allow them to deliver e-commerce solutions to small- and medium-size businesses in Canada. As a result of the alliance, companies wanting to do business over the Internet can outsource their e-commerce needs to Sprint Canada to build and host an online storefront.

According to both companies, the benefits to small- and medium-size businesses include speed to market, easy implementation, secure real-time credit card payment processing, continuous customer support for storefront development and maintenance, as well as the ability to modify and make changes to the storefront as the business evolves. The alliance is based on HP's Commerce for the Millennium, a global initiative that is part of its e-services strategy, as well as an end-to-end-hosted e-commerce solution.
