Spiegel to Support Harrods/Otto-Versand Effort

Spiegel Inc., Chicago, announced yesterday it will provide customer service, marketing services support and fulfillment in the U.S. and Canada as part of a global e-commerce joint venture between Hamburg, Germany-based direct mail company Otto-Versand GMBH and London's legendary Harrods department store.


The launch collection will be available by November and will feature 200 Harrods-branded products offered through a new company called HOT Inc., which will also be known as Harrods Online, on a yet-to-be-launched Web site. Catalogs will be mailed concurrently to more than 2.5 million households in the U.S. and Canada to initially support the effort.
