Software Package Targets E-Businesses with Sales Reps

MarketSoft Corp., Lexington, MA, yesterday announced an agreement that will make its eLeads system part of Asera Inc.'s eService suite of Internet business applications.


EService is a collection of software designed to help firms start and manage business-to-business Internet companies. With the addition of eLeads, the suite will allow sales representatives to receive information on prospects by e-mail.


For example, the eLeads database stores all information about prospects' participation in a company's direct mail campaigns, Web sites or other promotional venues that track viewer activity. Subsequently, file attachments containing this information are e-mailed to the reps.


Asera, Belmont, CA, built the basic features for eService but filled out the e-commerce portion through partnerships with firms like MarketSoft. The package includes features such as catalog configuration leased on a pay-as-you-use basis. Additional pricing for the package was not disclosed.
