*Snyder Acquires Media Syndication Global

Snyder Communications, Bethesda, MD, made its second acquisition in as many weeks yesterday when it purchased alternative media provider Media Syndication Global, New York, in an all-stock transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Media Syndication Global specializes in billing inserts and cooperative mailings to clients in the banking and financial services industries and will augment the alternate media services of Snyder subsidiary Echo Media, Atlanta.

"As we learned more about Echo Media and how attractive a space [alternative media] was we started looking for a group dominant in the billing insert space," said Snyder CFO Clay Perfall.

The two alternative media firms will operate separately and will not be a part of Snyder's newly formed Brann Worldwide group of direct marketing service providers. Media Syndication, however, will benefit from its asssociation with Brann.

"It's an exciting deal for us because we'll be able to feed a whole new client base into some of our media and add to their distribution channels,'' said Media Syndication co-president Jeff Giordano. "It also provides us international leverage to bring our programs abroad through Brann Worldwide.''

Snyder gives Media Syndication access to almost 100 partnerships with financial clients. The acquisitive company bought pharmaceutical marketer PromoTech Research the last week of March.
