Snowstorm Delays Transportation in Northeast
Sunday's snowstorm caused transportation delays on the East Coast for Quebecor World Logistics, though conditions are returning to normal, the company said yesterday.Many freeway ramps in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania were closed to traffic until yesterday morning, which prevented the movement of shipments on schedule all day Sunday, the company reported.
"All of our trucks are out to deliver, but are proceeding with serious caution and experiencing significant wait times [because of] a record snow accumulation in the region," Quebecor said.
Delays were expected for all modes of transportation through yesterday, the company said.
