News America Marketing's SmartSource unit, New York, and planet U yesterday agreed to provide Internet coupons and other promotional offers to America Online users.

Planet U's Internet coupon technology, called U-pons Network, will enable SmartSource.com to provide grocery coupons and mail offers for use at grocery locations to AOL members.

Certain offers also are available through participating retailers' frequent shopper cards.
