SmartSource Deals for Web Coupon App

News America Marketing, a subsidiary of News Corp., announced yesterday that its SmartSource division will use Coupon Inc.'s Web printable coupons technology.


New York-based SmartSource will send coupon banner ads across various Web sites, including SmartSource.com and Coupons.com. The technology also will be used in e-mail campaigns, according to the firm.


Coupon Inc.'s technology was designed to let consumers print coupons from their computers. According to the Palo Alto, CA-based company, the system also was built to avoid fraudulent coupon use.
