SmartMail Expands Light Parcel Services

SmartMail Services, Atlanta, a mail services company, announced next it recently expanded its light parcel service to include parcels weighing up to 5 pounds. The announcement was made at the Direct Marketing Association's 83rd annual conference and exhibition in New Orleans.


SmartMail provides an alternative to traditional mail and parcel delivery. Through its business model and work-share partnership with the U.S. Postal Service, the company retrieves, sorts and aggregates flat mail and light parcels, expediting delivery and minimizing infrastructure costs for its customers.


SmartMail's focus on delivering large mailings within a USPS First-Class mail time frame, but at a 15 percent discount on First-Class rates, provides direct marketers with a tool for getting their messages out fast without incurring substantial costs.
