Skymall's Sales Up 600 Percent

In-flight catalog company SkyMall, Phoenix, announced that for fiscal year 1998 its Internet sales have increased 600 percent to $2.1 million compared to just more than $300,000 for 1997. It also reported sales for the fourth quarter of 1998 have tripled to $1 million compared to last year's fourth quarter.


SkyMall said the number of hits for the fourth quarter has increased from 8 million in 1997 to 28 million for this year. And for the month of December alone SkyMall has seen a record 15 million hits compared to 5 million for 1997. Overall, it is expecting its total revenues to reach $65 million, an increase of about $5 million from last year.
