Silverpop Buys Epigraphx

E-mail marketing services firm Silverpop bought Epigraphx, a Redwood City, CA, competitor that has been in business 10 years.


The acquisition brings with it Epigraphx clients like AutoNation, Apple Computer, Mercury Interactive, Wyse Technology, Vitria, Motiva and the American Management Association. Terms were not disclosed.


Epigraphx offers e-mail marketing as well as data services, analytics for segmentation and modeling, and fax marketing. Silverpop, Atlanta, is working to integrate business units and technologies and move Epigraphx customers onto its technology platform. Research and development, sales and account management will follow.


Silverpop has clients like The Bombay Company Inc., Apple Computer, AutoNation and Internet Security Systems.
