Silicon Energy Buys Energy Concepts Inc.
Silicon Energy, Alameda, CA, earlier this month acquired Energy Concepts Inc., an energy bill management company based in Somerset, NJ.According to both companies, the acquisition of Energy Concepts adds valuable bill presentment and payment capabilities to the e-business services provider's enterprise energy management software, allowing companies to manage their energy use and costs in real time through a Web-based system. Energy Concepts will begin using the Silicon Energy name immediately.
"The addition of Energy Concepts' bill management capabilities and technology further enhances Silicon Energy's EEM offering by providing our customers additional value-added functionality and services," said Silicon Energy CEO John Woolard. "Through this acquisition, Silicon Energy will offer full enterprise bill presentment and payment services that will give customers a streamlined way to track actual energy costs and target cost savings."
