Shop.org raises $107,000 for students on CyberMonday.com

Shop.org's CyberMonday.com Web site raised more than $107,000 for the Ray M. Greenly Scholarship Fund during the holiday season.

Combined with corporate and individual donations, the fund has collected more than $120,000 since it was created January 20, 2006.

In January, Santa Clara University's Retail Management Institute received $7,500 from the fund for three $2,500 scholarships, a portion of which was used last month to send three students to Shop.org's FirstLook 2007 event in Orlando.

A steering committee of Shop.org's members will be formed to establish criteria for other universities to receive scholarships.

CyberMonday.com offers consumers a one-stop shop for online deals during the holiday season.

According to Mall Networks, which powers the Web site, consumers spent $3.2 million through CyberMonday.com during the holidays.
