Multi-merchant online marketplace Shop.com is expanding its offerings by adding 11 new merchants.

The new e-commerce sites that will be included in the shopping network range from high end designer clothing sites Yoox.com and MilanDesigners.com to wine and gift basket merchants WineExpedition.com and SolomonGourmetCookies.com, as the firm hones its focus to a shopping portal for women.

"Adding these new merchants is a continuation of the strategy that we put into place about a year ago, which is to move Shop.com from a generalized one-site-sells-all portal, into a really focused women's solution," said Ken Goldstein, CEO of Shop.com. "We still have a broad product offering, but we've been trying to emphasize a few key categories for busy women."

Other merchants that will join the existing Shop.com network include organization company Day-Timers Inc., outdoor wear site Explore64.com, perfume site FragranceX.com, fashion companies J. LaMore and BrandNameJeans.com, gardening retailer Jackson & Perkins and lifestyle merchant Swell.

These merchants join existing merchants Spiegel, Newport News, Coldwater Creek and MaxStudio.com. Since January, the site has been focused on the Trusted Merchant Certification, which confirms a partner's best practices in consumer security.
