Shipped in China

United Parcel Service (UPS) has plans to open two $180 million transport hubs in China, according to recent Reuters reports. The company has doubled its head count in China over the past 18 months to around 5,300, but expects that number to increase by at least 1,000 annually over the next 3 to 4 years. Published reports have also indicated that the shipper made a bid for TNT, Europe's number two mail and logistics firm, last week. The UK's Sunday Telegraph reported that UPS was planning a 10 billion euro ($15.2 billion) bid for TNT.
