Sheraton Lets Its Guests Do the Talking With New Site

Sheraton Hotels relaunched its Web site with an emphasis on social media and user-generated content.

The new site invites visitors to share stories, photos, tips about travel finds, favorite destinations and their passion for travel. Also, visitors to the new site will be able to access stories and recommendations from other customers.

The home page opens with a globe welcoming people to Sheraton's "global neighborhood," which is organized by region and includes pictures and guest- submitted stories. Visitors also will be able to choose a 'click to call' option that will put them in touch with a Sheraton employee. The company has plans for a live chat feature where guests will be able to ask questions in real time.

To promote the new Sheraton.com site the company is giving away a grand prize vacation that includes five rooms for five nights at any Sheraton in the world.

Sheraton is the largest brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts with 394 hotels in 65 countries.
