Services Group Signs Database Deal With Alterian

The Services Group, a firm that designs, builds and maintains databases, today said it signed a licensing agreement with Alterian, a Chicago- and London-based database marketing services provider.

The Services Group, Lombard, IL, will use the Alterian Engine and Alterian Marketing Suite to support its analytical and marketing database solutions. These include segmentation, modeling, data and program analysis and marketing database design.

"With Alterian's solution, we can rapidly extract data not only from a defined set such as either a customer's entire marketing database or existing segments of it, but also from a brand new data subset created on the fly," Andy Pappas, chief operating officer of The Services Group, said in a statement.

The Services Group has implemented Alterian's platform in an undisclosed commercial insurance carrier's marketing database.
