Sega, Motorola Agree to Co-Develop Web-Enabled Mobile Phones

Sega Enterprises Ltd. and Motorola yesterday agreed to develop cellular phones that can access the Internet.


The companies will use technology developed for Sega's Dreamcast video game player to enable mobile phones to process data at high speeds and download games and video.


The phones are scheduled for release in spring 2001.
