Sears.com Shoppers Offered Shot at Free PlayStation

Sears.com is expected to announce the first 50 winners of its Sony PlayStation 2 sweepstakes campaign this week.

The five-week contest automatically enters shoppers who spend more than $50 at the retail site. The first entries were processed Nov. 15, and 50 game units will be given away each week through the end of the year. Entries from each week will roll over into the following week's drawings, and there is no restriction on the number of times a shopper can qualify.

A banner ad for the offer appears at the site, and viewers who click through are given details on how to enter.

Sears Roebuck and Co., Hoffman Estates, IL, the parent firm of Sears.com, has also implemented the sweepstakes at its retail site Wishbook.com.
