Sears.com Is a Good Sport

The direct sales division of Sears, Roebuck and Co. entered into an agreement with GSI Commerce Inc., King of Prussia, PA, to expand the variety of sporting goods available at sears.com. The deal was announced yesterday.


As the operator of several Web sites for sporting goods retailers and sporting associations such as Modell's and NASCAR, GSI buys sporting goods products directly from companies such as Spalding and Huffy. GSI expects its golf, tennis, baseball and other products to roll out on sears.com in the third and fourth quarters.
