neo@Ogilvy scored a win in the hire of COO Greg Smith, formerly with Carat Fusion. Carat Fusion doesn't seem to be held back, having announced an expansion of its search practice including the hire of Bill Mungovan to manage search campaigns for the agency's West Coast clients. Bob Carilli has moved from Argus Interactive to Shop.com where he will serve as director of search engine marketing.

Rugs Direct has selected Coremetrics to provide both search engine marketing and online analytics services. Coremetrics' service and tools were chosen over a traditional SEM solution.

Google Sucks it up, Yahoo Slurps

With the $90 million dollar click fraud settlement approved, Google will start to dole out credits. Yahoo, on the other hand, announced an update to its crawler, said to be faster and more efficient in visiting Web sites.
