Schwartz Communications Inc., a public relations agency for high-tech and medical-technology clients, formed a strategic alliance with AxiCom, a British shop targeting technology companies.


The agencies will partner to offer integrated PR programs to clients in the United States and Europe. Each account will be handled via a single point of contact. They previously collaborated on various technology accounts.


Schwartz employs 160 people in Waltham, MA, and San Francisco. The 12-year-old agency's clients include Blue Martini, CheckFree, Embarcadero Technologies, Philips Medical Systems' Cardiac Resuscitation division, Sanctum, Progress Software, Vericept, MapInfo, CYTYC Corp. and Autonomy.


AxiCom has more than 60 executives in London, Paris, Munich, Milan, Stockholm, Madrid and The Hague. Founded in 1994, it has clients like BT Ignite, e-skills NTO, Red Hat, Citrix Systems and ARM Holdings.
