Schultz Accepts List Leader of the Year Award

NEW YORK -- Ray Schultz last night accepted the List Leader of the Year award from the Direct Marketing Association's List & Database Council.

Schultz, editorial director of Direct magazine, received the award here at a banquet at The Manhattan Penthouse preceding today's DMA List Vision 2002 conference at the Waldorf Astoria.

Schultz began covering the direct marketing industry at DM News in 1981 and was named editor in 1986. He joined Direct in 1994 and serves on the advisory board of the National Center for Database Marketing conferences.

The award was presented by last year's List Leader, Ben Perez, president of Millard Group Inc., Peterborough, NH.

The List Leader of the Year award is given to a list professional with at least 10 years in the list industry. The recipient must be active in one or more of these list-related areas: ethics, education, list practices and standards, privacy issues, postal reform, communication or environmental concerns.
