Scholastic Entertainment, Home Builder Join For National Effort

Scholastic Entertainment, the entertainment and media division of Scholastic Inc., said yesterday that it has teamed with home-building company KB Home to launch the "Clifford and KB Home's Dog Gone Great Giveaway!"


The promotion began yesterday an will run until Sept. 30. It will offer Clifford books and video giveaways at all KB Home communities as well as special appearances by Clifford the Big Red Dog. The Scholastic character is the star of best-selling books and an animated television series on PBS KIDS.


The KB Home promotion will be supported by print advertising, direct mail, signage and the Web site.


KB Home is one of America's largest home builders with domestic operating divisions in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Florida and Texas. Kaufman & Broad S.A., the company's majority-owned subsidiary, is one of the largest home builders in France. In fiscal 2001, the company delivered homes to 24,868 families in the United States and France.
