SAS to Use Socketware's Accucast for E-Mail

Seeking to shore up its customer relationship management offerings, business intelligence provider SAS Institute Inc. will incorporate Accucast e-mail marketing technology from Socketware.

SAS' CRM data management, analysis and campaign planning features will combine with Accucast e-mail delivery and response tracking. With this capability, the SAS Marketing Automation solution will let marketers send more targeted content to a customer's e-mail box.

SAS Marketing Automation claims to let firms harvest information for a better understanding of customers and their buying patterns across channels. This will help in planning more efficient multichannel marketing activities, said SAS, Cary, NC.

A plus of incorporating Atlanta-based Socketware's Accucast is the speed with which companies can send e-mails with more targeted content in the form of individual messages.

Accucast technology is used to support e-mail campaigns of Delta Air Lines, travelocity.com and CDNow.com.
