Twenty-year direct marketing veteran Rob Sanchez takes over as CEO of MeritDirect today. He replaces founders Mark Joyce and Ralph Drybrough, both of whom are retiring after 12 years at the helm of the White Plains, NY, company.

Sanchez promises to take an aggressive approach to growing the company, both organically and through acquisition. "We're set up for growth as we continue to focus beyond just the buying and selling of data. We'll be adding more services and expanding our reach within new and existing categories,” he told Direct Marketing News on the floor of the DMA2012 convention in Las Vegas.

Sanchez will also focus on integrating the many products the company offers that address different markets and channels. MeritDirect runs businesses in data and media services, customer acquisition, and database services.

One of the original partners of MeritDirect, Sanchez started the Data & Media Services division and has served as a managing partner since 2009.
