San Diego and Travelocity get social with Brickfish promotion

The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and Travelocity have teamed up with social networking services firm Brickfish to create a co-branded online social media campaign called “Wish You Were Here!”

The campaign, located at www.brickfish.com/sdcvb, calls for consumers to create a postcard for America's Finest City using the Travelocity Roaming Gnome and one of two taglines: “Wish You Were Here!” or “Wish I Was in San Diego!”

When the promotion is completed during the first week of January, the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau will select one grand prize winner from the top 500 highest scoring entries to win a three-day, two-night trip for two to San Diego, including airfare, hotel and attraction tickets.

The most viral winner will win a three-day, two-night trip for two to San Diego, including airfare, hotel and attraction tickets.

One winner will be chosen randomly each week to win two, one-day adult admission tickets to SeaWorld San Diego or the San Diego Zoo.
