Rubric Forms Council for E-Mail Marketers

Rubric Inc., San Mateo, CA, an e-mail marketing software maker, this week announced that it has formed a council to advance the e-mail marketing industry.

Made up of marketing executives from dot-com companies and online retailers, the Rubric eMA Practitioners' Initiative will focus on e-mail marketing issues, such as technology challenges and best practices for including e-mail marketing in an integrated marketing campaign.

The council will initially address one-to-one marketing, permission and opt-in issues, and cause-based marketing. Current members include marketing representatives from Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Bank of America and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
