R.R. Donnelley Wins French Directory Publishing Job

R.R. Donnelley signed a three-year agreement with Pages Jaunes, a subsidiary of France Telecom's Wanadoo directory and Internet company, to print about 40 telephone directory titles annually for distribution in France.


The contract's value was not disclosed. Print runs for each title will number 100,000 to 500,000 copies, representing 20 percent of Pages Jaunes' total print business.


As Wanadoo's directory-publishing arm, Pages Jaunes distributes 164 directories worldwide used by 540,000 advertisers and producing $758.3 million in revenue. Wanadoo also operates an Internet media services business with a presence in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.


R.R. Donnelley, Chicago, is a commercial print house with 31,000 employees in 200 locations worldwide.
