R.R. Donnelley Wins $60M-Plus Penton Media Contract
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. extended its relationship with Penton Media Inc. through a new multi-year contract to print and produce nearly 50 magazine titles in 12 business-to-business verticals.The contract, worth more than $60 million, gives Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley printing responsibilities for all Penton titles. The award includes printing of titles not previously produced by R.R. Donnelley.
Penton's books will be printed in several R.R. Donnelley magazine plants specializing in short-run publications. The printer's logistics services distribution optimization team also will work on methods to cut Penton's distribution costs.
Penton, Cleveland, publishes titles such as Air Transport World, Expansion Management, Food Management, IndustryWeek, Contracting Business, Hydraulics & Pneumatics and WindowsITPro Europe.
