Royal Bank Extends Contract With Sitel

The Royal Bank of Scotland granted a three-year extension yesterday to its contract with teleservices agency Sitel Corp. to provide customer service and telephone sales support.


Sitel will continue to handle inbound calls from prospective and current credit card customers, and will also conduct outbound calling to support Royal Bank of Scotland marketing campaigns. The teleservices agency will use its contact centers located in Stratford-Upon-Avon in Central England and Dublin, Ireland, in support of Royal Bank.


The financial value of the contract extension was not disclosed.


Sitel, Baltimore, operates 2,200 workstations and employs 2,500 people in its United Kingdom division. Other Sitel U.K. clients include British Gas, Philips and Disneyland Paris.
