Rosetta acquires Level Studios

Digital and direct marketing agency Rosetta said September 20 that it has acquired Level Studios, an integrated marketing and product development agency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Level acquisition gives Rosetta additional expertise in digital, mobile and branded content, as well as a West Coast presence. Level clients include Apple, Cisco, HP, RIM and Toyota. M&A firm AdMedia Partners advised Level on the transaction.

Rosetta began negotiations to buy Level in January, said Chris Kuenne, CEO of the firm, who added that the consumer technology sector is a strength of both companies.

Kuenne added that Rosetta will maintain all Level employees, with full integration planned for January 1, 2012.

He added that Rosetta wants to grow in the loyalty and CRM space, as well as social media. A challenge for the company is maintaining corporate culture, Kuenne added.
