RMH Teleservices Plans Growth After Successful Quarter

RMH Teleservices expects to expand its call center capacities this year, the company said, crediting revenue growth in the previous quarter to increasing demand for its services.

RMH Teleservices, Bryn Mawr, PA, said it would add 2,000 workstations, raising its total to 7,500, in response to new business and the pursuit of new clients in retail and healthcare.

Revenue was $59 million for the company's fiscal first-quarter 2002, covering the three months ended Dec. 31. This was an 81 percent rise over the same period in the previous fiscal year. Net income was $935,000 in the quarter, compared with a $3.3 million loss in the same period of fiscal 2001.

RMH Teleservices said it had continued its policy of diversifying its client base during the quarter. Inbound calls represented 45 percent of business in the period, up from 18 percent in the same period of fiscal 2001.

The company projects revenue of $250 million to $275 million for its fiscal 2002.
